every application. Prior to the release of iClass technology, HID’s Prox was the industry standard for contactless access control.
HID’s iCLASS is a 13.56 MHz contactless smart card technology that provides encrypted access control and interoperability with a diverse range of
applications including network log-on security, biometrics, cashless payment, time and attendance, and many more. HID also offer transition solutions
such as its multi-class technology to allow users to upgrade sites from Prox to the new more secure iClass technology.

Readers

Credentials
HID Global provides the industry’s broadest array of card products and technologies ranging from basic single technology cards, to multi-technology and contact chipbased
cards, to non-technology cards with visual security features. HID’s affordable and durable cards come standard with guaranteed compatibility with HID reader lines, available in application-specific composition materials and form factors including fobs and tags. The standard range includes cost effective clamshell models, durable and printable ISO cards plus a large range of tags, fobs, and keys.

iClass HS
iClass-HS is an encrypted, high security HID iClass offering that is managed by CSD. Installers can register for their own iClass-HS encryption key which ensures that
no-one, other than the registered owner of an iClass-HS system is able to upgrade or supply credentials to sites using this registered key. CSD gives iClass-HS users
complete control over their system by giving them the actual encryption key. iClass-HS owners are free to purchase cards and readers from any HID distributor and are not
locked into CSD.

HID on the desktop
HID on the Desktop™ (OTD) allows customers the convenience of using the same card for physical access (doors) and logical access (Windows log-on). HID OTD delivers secure–two-factor authentication (card + pin) and eliminates concern over password attacks. The system offers simplified deployment, administration and a use model
which accelerates return on investment for security expenditure.
